Hamilton House | Liverpool
headoffice3 secured planning and delivered the design and build for the conversion of 4 ground-floor commercial units into eight residential apartments beneath an existing residential block on Liverpool’s Pall Mall. The scheme comprised a mix of studios, one-bed, and two-bed units, carefully arranged around the building’s fixed structural grid, ceiling heights, and service risers. To enhance privacy for the new homes, the façade line was thoughtfully stepped back from the street, with new aluminium-framed double glazing and louvred panels set into the original granite blockwork — continuing the building’s visual language while softening its edge at street level. This project is a prime example of making compact city-centre living work within real spatial and structural constraints.
