The Dawsons Square project involved the conversion of two buildings from 82,465 sq ft of office space to 140 contemporary designed apartments under Permitted Development regulations.
One of the key challenges of the whole project was the underfloor heating which meant that the electrical heating system in the building was disposed of, and a ground source heat system installed. An extension to the plant room was also necessary. The scheme has been hugely successful and means that every room in every apartment has a thermostat to heat the room through underfloor heating.
A full new drainage system was also installed which was time consuming but again, has been successful and the building now has a reliable drainage system, fit for residential purpose.
43 apartments were provisionally sold before the open day. The official launch of the project was on 30th September 2017, and over 40 more potential buyers made their interest known during the event.
